Very pleasant experience I made an appointment for a small auto repair. Car was taken in on time, took as long as they said it would, final price was as quoted. We recently helped our daughter purchase a Jeep Grand Cherokee from VAS and it was a great experience. Due to our work schedules, we were unable to make it to the dealership until close to their closing time. They didn't rush us at all and made sure we had plenty of time to test drive. I had an impressive experience with Vernon Auto Sales. They sold me the vehicle at a fair and reasonable price, but what happened next really made the difference. The morning after I picked it up and drove it home to Vermont, it wouldn’t start. A fuel line clip had failed, and gas gushed out every time I tried to start it. A less ethical dealership might have said it’s my problem or demanded that I get it towed to the dealership to get it fixed. Instead, Jeff from the Vernon Auto service department drove two hours north to fix it, thoroughly and professionally. Based on this experience, I enthusiastically recommend these guys. They literally went the extra mile for me.

I was initially here a few months ago to purchase a vehicle however I wasn't able to(due to hesitation on my end). However, the 2nd time I came I was greeted with the same kindness and hospitality from Carlos and Jason. Made the whole experience very welcoming, transparent, and completely understanding. One of the easiest car purchases I’ve ever made. I found this car on Autotrader , so I decided to take a look at it. After a no pressure test drive,we made a deal, I left a deposit. A few days later I returned to purchase and pickup my new vehicle. Jason had all my documents ready, Carlos was also very helpful. I received my signed title a few days later as promised. Just purchased my third vehicle from VAS going back to a span of 8 years. My buying experience has always been good with these guys going back to my first 2 purchases at their first location on Rt 83 in Vernon. Just recently bought my third car from them and they are the best. When searching on the internet for a used cars most dealers don’t want anything to do with you once the car leaves the lot. I’ve gotten to know Al and Jason over the years and Carlos during my last purchase. They genuinely want their customers to be happy and be a repeat customer. After purchasing cars from them, they asked me to bring the auto back after 30 days so they can check that things are still in good order. First time I purchased a car from them, there was a gentleman in the showroom buying his third car from them for his daughter. He told me “you can’t go wrong with these guys”. That had turned out to be be my experience as well!

2013 Subaru Outback
These guys have a great inventory and are super personable. I had found what I wanted on their website and went in for a test drive. After I knew it was the one, they made the process very easy and actually got me a lower APR than I was expecting! Highly recommend. They are also having me come in after a month for a free oil change and to see that everything is going well with the car, to be honest they went against a lot of the stereotypes regarding used car dealers.

Bought a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 work truck for landscaping. The truck is very clean, runs great and the underbody had no signs of rot which was great. Jason was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I ended up getting an extended warranty that covers the engine and transmission for 3 years/36k miles. On top of that the dealer offered a 60 day warranty on engine and transmission and that I didn't find at any other of the dealers I went to. It really shows that they believe in and know what they are selling to be able to offer that. I now have peace of mind that even if something goes wrong with the vehicle I am covered. I couldn't be happier and would recommend VAS to anyone looking to buy a vehicle from an honest dealer.

Customer Service there was awesome. Jason helped me and kept me in the loop every step of the way since the first call I made to check if the car I wanted was available all the way until the vehicle was in my possession. He got me a great deal with a beautiful 2018 Hyundai Stanta Fe for my wife. She loves it. I got a PA license and he rushed it so I can drive my car out of the lot same day and he did it in 1 hour. Had the most amazing experience here getting my first car. My mom has sang great praises about them since she got her car there a few years back and that’s the only place she goes to ever since no matter what her car needs and now I’m doing the same. THEY called me to schedule to come look at and test drive the car I picked out and showed great interest in helping me understanding the process since it’s my first car. Didn’t have to go to the DMV, they did the license and everything there PLUS called and set me up with an insurance agent to shop around with me. It felt like I was dealing with long known friends or tami who were actually looking out for me rather than just trying to close a sale. They even scheduled for a complete detail on my car no charge when I had time and did an amazing job with that too. There’s always someone to help you if you call and they actually care about your any concerns regardless of how small. I just got my car a month ago and it’s been a pleasure working with them so far. I’ve suggested VAS to so many people at work since then. This is what customer service and satisfaction is. I highly doubt you’ll find good people like these guys in business anywhere else.

I came here and was immediately greeted by friendly staff. I called ahead of time so by time I got there the car was already pulled up ready for me to test drive. Jason (the best in the west) had patience for all my questions and missing documents. He did all that he could to get me the best quote and lowest rate. They did it again! Someone tried to pass me on the right and dinged up my car pretty badly. I took it to VAS and they fixed it and the entire car so beautifully that it looks like no one ever did anything bad to it. They also detailed it and got out some very old coffee stains that I knew I could never get out. ( I actually bought some new seat covers). Now I can return them because the seats and the entire car loon brand new. The best part is that they came in a third under a large dealership in Willimantic. (Price wise). The minute I walked in Al greeted me like I was his daughter. And made me feel like it -that I was in safe hands. Al, Jason, and the rest of you -thank you for the easiest and most pleasant auto experiences I have ever had.

Went to view a van. Was not what we were looking for. The guys there talked to us and found us the perfect van. Drove it home that day! They did all the paperwork and were honest. Even gave us a 20$ back sense emissions was due and they could not get it done for us. Always super nice even when we got our oil changed.

This was my first time buying a car and came across Vernon Auto Sale & Service. I saw a car that suits my style, and also has low miles for a great price. We got a test drive on Saturday and I enjoyed the car. Jason helped me walk through the car buying process in detail to help me understand the terms and conditions of my purchase and was very helpful. By Monday, I have bought my new car with payments that were affordable. Overall, the experience was very smooth, easy, and painless. Wonderful customer service. They allow you take the car on your own with no pressure from a sales person and upon return there was no pressure to buy the car or any other on there lot. They give us the info needed and they let you make the decision. The car was over 100,000 miles and they looked into replacing the belts and water pump at my request and found that all were replaced. The owner gave me a new kit anyway that has a new pump and belts for next time. Totally aewsome! When we picked it up a few days later it was washed and waxed and detailed inside. If you want to go to place where you are valued as a customer and not taken advantage of this is it!

Positive: Professionalism, Value It was time to buy a new car and like anyone would, I started looking online. I came across a 2016 Nissan Altima for sale at Vernon Auto sales. I set up an appointment and the next day came by to look at it. Right off the bat, I was thrilled with the professionalism by the sales team and the personal relationship they built from the first interaction. They did not pressure me at all but rather let me take my time in checking out the vehicle I was interested in. After some time I decided to purchase the vehicle. The process in doing so was very smooth and easy going. Jason, was extremely kind and personable, which meant a lot to me. Very honest and upfront about everything. Drove off the lot very happy and pleased with my purchase. However, the next day the check engine light came on and I took it to a shop to see what code it was pulling. Of course, it was the transmission code. I called up Jason and told him what was wrong with it. (keep in mind I had left the state and was not anywhere near Vernon auto sales so I could not get my car there) The issue turned into the car needing a new transmission. Rather than making me drive all the way back up to CT, I was able to bring the car to my local Nissan dealership in the state in which I currently reside in and Jason paid for the new transmission himself and was very sorry for the inconvenience the car had caused me. Obviously, he had no prior knowledge that this would happen; just bad luck, unfortunately. Got the car fixed and ready to go within a few days. Bottom line, Jason and his wonderful team went above and beyond in making sure my car was as good as new and safe for me to drive. Thank you so much Vernon auto sales! I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking quality, professionalism and a personable experience! You guys are awesome.

I went back at vernon auto today because of my past experience. About six months ago, I took my brother there and he bought a Subaru. Their customer service is THE ONE any customer will like to experience. My husband and I bought today August 20th 2020, a 2012 Honda CR-V, and we loved it. The environment was beautiful, the workers were excellent and the sales person Jason Worked with the bank and I to get the best deal. He is always very happy and friendly with a big smile. My husband I wish his company Vernon auto a continuous success. My overall rating is a ten stars but only allow to give up to five stars. Keep up the good work Vernon auto at 119 Spencer Street in Manchester. English is not my first language but my official language.

My partner and I bought a cheap beater car to share from these guys - the transaction was an absolute breeze and the car is exactly as expected (a high mileage car with occasional quirks, but for around 5 grand out the door with new tires and a nice trim package, we're more than satisfied). I bought a 2007 Toyota 4Runner Sports Edition on 11/09/2019 from Vernon. First of all, the very first thing I always look for is good customer service; This dealerships is ONE OF THE KIND. I just purchased a 2011 Tahoe here. Very relaxed atmosphere with no pressure. Dealer fees are very reasonably priced and there were no silly add ons like VIN etching. The truck was priced right and in great condition. The whole transaction was very easy. I drove the truck home the next day. I left feeling great about my purchase. Jason, the owner, was very responsive and great to deal with.

Went in there to get an truck Al was great straight forward but he’s busy so you have to deal with Jason. Now Jason lied to me took my money didn’t call me, sold the truck I left an deposit on. When I pulled up to pay for it that’s when he decided to inform me what happen. After I talked to him and he said it’s your truck with the money. Then he tells me it’s a business first come first serve. He gave me my money back but that wasn’t the point I wanted the truck . Al’s good Jason does bad business. If he takes anything off the price he going jack the price right back to where it was don’t trust his words. Hopefully he doesn’t do anyone like he did me!!!!!!

THE WORST EVER!!
I bought a 2011 Chevy Equinox in March 2018. I needed a safer vehichle for my newborn son. When I bought this car I was I told to bring it in a month from the sale for a full oil change. They only drained the oil and added aome new oil, they never replaced the filter! I started having some hesitation issues with the car after about a month and a half. I had my son in May and wasn't using my car too much until about a couple of weeks ago. My husband did a COMPLETE oul change and we set out for a 2 hour drive to inteoduce the baby to family. An hour into the drive on the Mass Pike the car just stopped in the middle of traffic as I applied the brakes. I had the cam shaft sensor replaced and the variable valve timing selenoid replaced. The garage showed me that there are several parts ZIP TIED because clips are broken in the motor. There are other connectors that are siliconed together!! Now the car is doing the same shutting down again and the oil level is constantly low! I just found out the oil is dumping into the catalytic converter and is about a $2000.00 fix!! Thanks for putting my newborn and myself in danger of having a car accident! Hope your satisfied with yourselves and enjoying your rides!!

During the whole experience I was given nothing but transparency. This is a family business where you can just tell they genuinely care about people and their clients. That is so very rare to find. I appreciate that they price their vehicles fairly, update their inventory and are honest fair people. They even stayed open late to help me! Good experience
I went shopping for a new vehicle on 3/6/18, it was the only place that I looked and the experience was so relaxed, it made me feel very comfortable and not pressured into making a decision hastily. Jason was extremely helpful at getting me into a safe vehicle, that has more bells and whistles than I know what to do with, but I'll learn. He also took care of the registration and insurance so that I didn't have to. So glad I purchased this vehicle, it feels like a cloud when I drive it. Offered a deposit and they said don't worry my word is my word just leave phone number and sigh your name. Called to take vehicle inspected and was told it was sold. So beware when they say you have my word!!!!!!!!!!

Great experience - buying my first car
After looking at several Subaru dealers with new and used cars, we went to Vernon. Al helped us out a lot and was very laid back. Originally, we went to look at a 2010 and a 2011 outback. After the test drives, we decided to try a 2008 outback (with no pressure) even though we originally wanted the newer generation. I fell in love with the car and its LL Bean ltd aesthetics. We told them we were very interested and came back later that week to buy it. Al included a good warranty and after 4 months I can honestly say they have not only lived up to it, but have exceeded our expectations, helping us with the small issues we've dealt with. I feel confident that if we have any concerns in the future they will do their best to help us out.

the only place we will ever buy a car from again
Jason watched us look at cars and encouraged us to test drive them for a couple months, always available but never once "trying to sell" us one. He put plates on 6 different cars for me one time. When we finally decided on one he took care of everything and we drove away the next day. We bought a great car for lower than blue book. He was courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and most of all he let us buy a car as opposed to selling us one. On that experience alone I would encourage anyone to buy they're next car here but their service just got better and better! The check engine light went on right before our warranty was up and their service garage (Ellington Auto, shout out to Bill!), took care of it no problem. So We thought. After several visits over 2 months, they had to take my whole engine apart! It was done within 24 hours and Vernon Auto took care of it all. I've never ever had such a positive experience with the honestly painful and tedious processes of buying and owning a car. We are customers for life! My kids and their kids will be too!

I have purchased 2 cars from Jason at Vernon Autos. A Subaru Forester and my favorite, my 2011 Ford F150 Supercrew. Very low pressure. Just show up, browse, and Jason is more than willing to answer any and all questions, let you drive anything you need, and more importantly, he bent over backwards to get me a loan. A+. Most importantly, after the sale, they maintain a positive relationship. I have had dealers contact me a year after a car purchase about trade ins and another purchase. Not so with these guys. Always remembered me if I came in for oil changes, and more importantly, they were more interested in my satisfaction with my original purchase years after the sale. No issues with the vehicles either. Very reliable!!! Going back today to look for a car for my sister.

Jason is the most honest salesman you will ever meet. 0 pressure, stopped in AM, test drove a 07 Audi A6, chatted a bit, drove home and stewed on it a bit, back to VA at about 3 and drove home with new car in a couple hours. Quick and painless, couldn't ask for a better experience. I like the fact they ask to inspect the car after 30 days ... who else does that with a used car?

I went to countless dealers before finding vernon online. I spoke with Jason via email and phone before driving an hour to the location. I had an amazing experience! I bought a 2014 ford fusion. I not only got a great price on the car but jason gave me a great price for my car! He is very honest and cares about what you want. He went out of his way to make sure i was happy. I was very late coming to the store the second day and jason stayed to make sure i could pick up my car! I have a year of oil changes with them and 60 day warranty. I took the car to my shop and had them look it over this morning. I am very happy to say that they said the car is perfect! Nothing wrong with it, it's safe and very reliable. I am very happy and will be going back to buy my daughter a car! I trust Jason enough to put my daughter in his cars. That alone should speak volumes to any parent thinking of buying a car or buying one for their kid. There is nobody chasing you down as you try to look at the cars. They don't try to sell you a car that they want like the normal sales person. Again, it is about making you happy. I told friends about Jason already and will tell more. More than pleased
Buying a used car was wearing on me. I can not tell you how many private "for sale" cars we looked at and also had our mechanic look at. We had a budget # and not a penny more. We gave up on a private seller and started looking at Used car dealers. The first guy I dealt with was a look in your face liar. 3 different cars and all were band aided up for sale. My wife found Vernon Sales and we drove an hr to see the car. Most laid back guys who talk straight with you. Low pressure and, they let the car sell itself. There was no salesman Bull at any point. After driving the car we wanted I told Jason I would call him tomorrow. When I did, he put the car on hold without a down payment. That is the truth! I told him I would be there in 3 days with a check and he held the car for me. While closing the deal we were having some light hearted talk when I noticed a picture on the wall I liked and asked jokingly if they could throw the picture in the deal. Al got up and took it off the wall to give to me! LOL!! (I didnt take it). Yesterday my wife took the car in for a 30 day check up and free oil change at their authorized repair shop and Jason called the shop while my wife was there to make sure she was happy. None of this is exagerated and I never wrote a review for anyone before. Tell them "The straight forward guy" put his name on them. Good guys! give them a try!

A pleasure to do business with!
We had a great experience working with Jason and spoke multiple times over the phone before making the drive from RI. Every call was a pleasure, and when we arrived we had plenty of time to look through the vehicle with a thorough test drive. It was nice to take a good look at it without any pressure to purchase. A Great Place to Buy a Used Truck

Great People Are Hard To Find!!!!
My friend purchased a Honda from them last year and her car has been great ever since, she told me about them two weeks ago and I called to inquire about a Honda that I found as well. Jason was EXTREMELY GREAT!!! He didn't pressure me into buying the car and I honestly went with my gut feeling about it and told him that I'd like to buy it without me even test driving it! When I got there he allowed me and my bff to take the car for a ride by ourselves, I came back and the paperwork process was QUICK unlike some other dealers that'll have you waiting for hours. The dealership is so great with caring for their customers, they even give 4 free oil changes and a 90 day warranty without charge. I wish I had of came to this place when I got my first financed car, I HIGHLY recommend this place for fresh out of high school and college students. Thanks again Jason for ALL of your help!!!

Best Shopping Experience Ever! After totaling my car in the ice and snow this winter, I was in a real hurry to replace my car. As a young woman shopping alone I had some reservations about being treated fairly throughout the car shopping process. Everyone at Vernon Auto made me feel so welcomed and comfortable, and I know I got a great deal in the end. The icing on the cake was when I showed up to drive my new car home but had forgotten my license plates a state away! Without hesitation the guys at Vernon saved the day by offering me a loaner plate and a pre-paid envelope to return it once I arrived home safely. Now, a few months later my car is still running smoothly, no hidden quirks or surprises!

This is my second vehicle purchased from Jason at Vernon auto and I promised him this time I would write a review! Jason is awesome and especially being a returning customer he went above and beyond to give me more than my Mazda was worth so that I could get down to the monthly payment I needed. He isn't your typical pushy care salesman I walked in and he handed me the keys to the jeep and said see ya later and I was able to decide completely on my own what would work for me. He also stands by his warrantee as I witnessed with my Mazda I had a couple of minor issues that were addressed by going to their shop in Ellington. I loved the Mazda but it was time for a more SUV type of car and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you!!

Absolutely Amazing Service
I bought a used Subaru from Al a couple months ago. Al was honest from the start, fixed a few things on the car ahead of purchase, and even delivered the vehicle over an hour away for me. When a few small issues came up after I took delivery, Al went above and beyond the basic power-train warranty and diagnosed and replaced the offending part free of charge. I recently purchased a 2010 Lexus RX350 and am extremely happy with my car. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with both Jason and Al. It is so nice to work with a car dealership that does not pressure you to purchase a car and is willing to honestly tell you the pros and cons of the different vehicles on their lot. I purchased a Lexus GX470 about 3 months ago. Have put on about 6000 miles already and recently brought the car in for one of 4 free oil changes. While it was there they buffed out the headlights without me even asking getting rid of a slight yellow tint on them free of charge. They are very polite and would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a good used car. I think it is good business to offer the free oil changes as it told me that they are trying to build a good customer relationship rather than just making a sale and pushing you out the door.

We arrived initially looking for a minivan. Soon after we got out of our car Jason came out, greeted us answered a question told us to "look around at your leisure" and to let him know if we wanted to drive anything. After test driving one minivan and two trucks we purchased a '07 Chevy Silverado. Shortly thereafter we drove off the lot with the registration and plates. We were very pleased. Soon after, the check transmission light was on and not only did they make an expensive repair they gave us a loaner for the day all at no additional charge!! We just moved here from out of state and are relieved to know we found a reliable and buyer friendly dealership. We will be back and we encourage others to shop there.

The Perfect Experience
Today I went to Vernon Auto Sales to look at a 2011 Honda Accord . I was a little uneasy due to the fact that the current car I had I still owed on. From the 1st phone Jason made me feel really comfortable about working with him. As soon as I walked in he gave me the keys to test drive . Little did I know I would be leaving with that exact car that I had been looking at for weeks. Looking into replacing the perfect car after an accident is noone's idea of a good time. I had been to a few other dealerships and enjoyed the cars I tested, but the stereotypical issues with the salesmen became too much. I stopped in to take a look at this car and was put right at ease with Jason. He handed me the keys, told me to take it for a spin and he'd see me when I got back. ZERO pressure. I ended up purchasing this awesome car that had just about everything I was looking for (the only thing missing was red dash lighting, long story...). Quick easy process and a positive atmosphere made for a wonderful experience. I would certainly recommend them to friends and family!

2010 ACURA TSX
I do not even know where to begin with my review on Vernon Auto Sales. They were by far the WORST used car dealership I have ever come across. First off, I had been dealing with Jason by phone for a week before coming to take a look at the vehicle. When I arrived he didn't even have the decency to come out and introduce himself to me. He sent another worker with the keys out and had me look at the vehicle like as is they didn't even care. Secondly, The pictures were highly in accurate. Seeing the vehicle in person had me completely mortified. It was NOT everything it said out to be. There were scratches on every aspect of the vehicle, touch up paint on the corner panels and grill of the front bumper. A fog light was cracked the rear bumper needed to be completely re-painted. The rearview mirrors color paint did not match the rest of the vehicle. The rims looked as if someone was purposely driving on curbs. Now this is just the outside of the vehicle. The interior of the vehicle was TERRIBLE !!! The key remote does not unlock the vehicle form the outside so I had to physically use the key to unlock the driver door. The inside of the car had a horrible smell to it. The leather was in such poor condition there was a HUGE rip on the driver side upper arm area of the leather seat. I was with my family at the time of viewing so when my aunt asked to unlock the back doors to take a look that's when I realized the unlock buttons on the inside of the vehicle didn't work either. I didn't even bother to test drive the vehicle that's how upset I was. On top of everything the car was FILTHY as if they never wash it. There had to have been at least a inch or more of dirt and dust sitting on the vehicle. When both my uncle and I approached Jason on how poor of the condition the vehicle was in he acted as if he truly did not care. He had no remorse or sympathy at the fact that we just came over an hour away and told us " PICTURES DO NOT DIFFER THE PRICE, I DO NOT TKAE THE PICTURES " . He was completely unprofessional, rude, carless, un courteous, and all the above of a salesman. I HIGHLY & EXTREMELY do not recommend anyone shopping from this place.

My wife and I have been looking for a new van for almost 6 months. we would find a van and by the time we would be able to go look at it would be sold or we would get there and the pictures online where not showing the true condition of the van. We decided to drive to CT from upstate NY. BEST thing we ever did! Our 1st stop was here at Vernon. The 1st van we drove was the one we ended up buying. Everything about the entire experience was excellent! They went above and BEYOND to help us. We had our 4 young children (Ages 8- 8months) and they where kind and understanding about the kids. they helped us do the whole purchase quickly not making us wait around. The van is AMAZING! Better then we could have ever hoped for! I've told many of my friends and family here in NY that if they need a new/used car it is SO worth the drive to CT to buy from this business! Love my 2009 Subaru Outback
I've had my car for 9 months and have had no problems with it. Well, in the beginning the sport mode wasn't working, but they fixed it for me for no charge. I waited this long to make sure I was happy with my car, and I really am. The cost was a little below any other places I looked, and I looked all over CT and S. MA. I'm also happy with all the free services they provide, but I've only used 2 of the 3 free oil changes (calling for the 3rd shortly) mainly because I live ½ hour away from their shops. Service provided was excellent, and they have convenient hours.

Buying a used car is usually a nerve racking experience. Nobody wants to buy someone else's problems or be pressured by a pushy car sales person. Vernon Auto sales definitely makes the entire process a comfortable, relaxing and stress free experience, the salesperson allowed me to look at the car and take it for a test drive without breathing down my neck. This for me was the start of a trusting relationship..bizarre feeling with a car dealer..right? He was there for when I had questions, but not pushy at all...other car dealers, both used and new should take note. I ended up purchasing a car for my stepdaughter and all the while was waiting for some loophole or some signs of the normal car sales BS to come, but never happened. These guys are legit and very open and honest, which built a level of trust..will definitely buy a car from this dealership if needed in the future and recommend anyone looking for a used car to check them out, you won't regret it. I had the best experience at Vernon Auto. I spent about 2 days visiting at least a dozen dealerships looking for a car after mine was totaled. The contrast between Vernon Auto and all the rest is night and day. At least 90% of the salesmen I met had also “just totaled” their own car. They’ll say anything to appear relatable and suck you in. I was fed up with humanity by the time I rolled into Vernon Auto. I started walking around the lot expecting the sharks to begin circling. It never happened. For the first time, I was able to look around at the vehicles for sale in peace. When I found some things I liked I went in and talked to Jason. He was great. He wasn’t “selling cars”, he was offering cars for sale. He tossed me the keys and said, “take it for a ride and come back when you’re done”. It was nice to be able to check out the cars without someone in my ear trying to make a sale. On top of all that, the prices are great. I mean REALLY great. All the other dealerships were asking $1500+ for their comparable vehicles. AND, the vehicles come with a better warrantee, roadside assistance, oil changes and discounted repairs if anything happens within a year of purchase. You won’t find that kind of service at other dealerships. I recommend Vernon Auto to anyone looking to buy a used vehicle. Thank you, Jason, I love my Subaru!

Financing a vehicle don't have to be stressful. Vernon Auto Sales go beyond miles for you to have a pleasant auto buying experience. They are very friendly and knowledgeable in the cars they sell and will tell you about them. I was able to look around the car and test every single button in it because they weren't pushing me in the office to sell me the car. Great Used Car Buying Experience
Just bought a used Toyota from Jason. Jason was very professional, no pressure salesman who took the time to print out a Carfax for me. He is a great guy to do business with. I left feeling that he really cared about helping me make the right purchase. The car was fairly priced and very clean. The four free oil changes is a nice touch. Outstanding Buying Experience
Vernon Auto Sales is an outstanding used car dealership Jason really stands by his vehicles I purchased a 2005 Lexus RX330 with a 60 day/ 3000 mile warranty on the engine and transmission which he does not have to do because of the age of the vehicle. There was a slight hiccup with obtaining the title # to register the vehicle but Jason offered to put the vehicle on a temporary registration with dealer plates until the title was straightened out. He also wants me to come by the shop in one month after I drive it a while to insure everything is working correctly. I have bought a lot of vehicles over the years and Vernon Auto Sales is among the best.

In 2014 I walked into the Vernon Auto Sales and spoke with Al Hudroge. I was in desperate need of a newer vehicle. With only a very old car to trade and no money to put down, Al sat with me and figured out what I could afford to spend. He then showed me around his lot and let me test drive a car. He let me know he had one similar on his other lot and would have it sent to the Vernon lot for me to test drive. I fell in love with the car as soon as the road test was over. Al was very helpful getting me financing and within a few days I was driving my newer car off his lot. I am presently still driving this car and still loving the ride. Very pleased with the my experience at Vernon Auto Sales. Absolutly no pressure to buy. Like the way Jason let me look over vehicle for as long as I wanted on my own, including a test drive. Hate the tactics of other dealers that are costantly hovering around and checking their watches while I was inspecting their used vehicles for sale,(and having to make an appointment). Best Car buying experience
Its been a month that i bought my 2010 Honda Odyssey from here. I did a trade in of my car too. Many major dealers they advertise no-haggle price but does not seem to be the right retail price for a car. Most of the dealers in and around Hartford offer very less than i expected but at Vernon auto sales he was very fair he told me the maximum he could offer for trade in at the first time i went there and told me the price for the van. A very good deal, i was always in doubt that there is going to be some problem but it was not. We have already put more than 3000 miles in this van and no issues. A very perfect price for my trade in and the vehicle i bought. Also no false promises, he said what is possible for him to do and when i should come. I had some limited time to see the vehicle and purchase and when i visited he had everything ready for me. We moved from mid-west and so far changed 7 vehicles and this is the best car buying experience i ever had. We were thinking of buying second vehicle after few months and definitely would buy only from here.

Could not be happier
I recently bought an 06 Nissan Titan , I hate going to used car dealers but this dealer was different! They were up front with every piece of info they explained the whole finance process to me so I would understand. Also had an issue with the truck and they told me to come in and they would fix it free of charge. They are really good guys and I would recommend them to anyone! Awesome dealer!

I had been to the large dealerships and couldn't find the used car I wanted at a price I wast willing to pay. I noticed Vernon Auto Sales while driving by and stopped in. I'm very glad that I did. Jason and Al listened to what I wanted and suggested two good options for less than I had planned to spend. Loving My Honda Element
I totaled my vehicle on a snowy day just before Thanksgiving. 2007 Ford Escape
Back in 2013 I purchased a 2005 Mazda 3 from Vernon Auto, I was very happy with the car until about a year later it had a catastrophic engine failure which resulted in the vehicle burning copious amounts of oil. I took the car back to Vernon Auto and they treated me like FAMILY. They gave me $4,000 in trade value towards the Escape after purchasing the car in 2013 for almost $6,000. I purchased the Escape in the early spring of 2014. Just recently I had a failure of the transfer case in the escape so I called up the guys who always treat me right (VERNON AUTO) and they were empathetic and eager to fix the car for me. I have always been pleased with Vernon Auto and they treat people like Family. This a a quality trait that you rarely find in the auto dealer business and I will always recommend Vernon Auto to my friends, family and acquaintances.

Review part 2 (repair)
My first review was my buying experience.=A+ My second review is on service. Again A+. So after about 6 weeks owning the vehicle it had a little "pre owed issue" (as to be expected when buying a pre owned vehicle). The check engine light had come on.I had mentioned this to Jason and Al and with out hesitation they had me bring it to Rick at Ellington Auto. Most other used dealerships give the run-a-round and would argue the fault, but not Jason and Al! "Don't worry about anything, We'll take care of you" is what I heard and a loaner car (nice Altima)is what I got. The issue was taken care of in about a day or so. When I picked up the car I was given a detailed summery and Rick explained everything that was done to the car and why. We had such good experiences with the guys at Vernon Auto we're already planning our next buy.~Thanx again guys ! two thumbs up!

Fighting the stigma of "used car dealers"
We started looking for a truck that would fit our growing family and new home as well as stand up to the rigors of the New England weather. We were pleased to find a nice selection of trucks at Vernon Auto Sales and were even more pleased with our experience with Jason during the sales process. Jason and Al in the office were very straight forward and honest during the entire process. The laid back, stress free, honest and “no bull” approach was greatly appreciated. Nothing But Happy
I purchased a 2003 Honda CRV-EX from Vernon Auto Sales. Jason Elhage was amazing. He bent over backward and did cartwheels to land me into this vehicle because of a recent accident and credit problems. Jason worked night and day to get me the best deal and financing with 3 agencies. He did a great amount of work and kept me in the loop the entire time. I really can't thank him enough. I had recently totaled my wifes 2008 Subaru legacy. While searching the interweb I came across Vernon auto. They had a wide selection of cars and Subaru's but none that matched what we were looking for(an exact replacement of our 08). After explaining the situation to Jason, he promised us he'd find us our car .. with in less then a day he called us back .. We're now the proud owners of a 06 (loaded) legacy. Jason and the Guys at Vernon auto know Subarus, they automatically did all of the Costly maintenance that a Subaru would need (head gasket, timing belt,power steering pump ect..) saving me from a future spending of over $2000. Not only that but they registered, insured, AND delivered the car for me ( and I live an hour away). These Guys are Great !! Al and Jason made my buying experience very easy and seamless. They took my trade and set up financing for me on a Honda pilot last winter during the snow storms and I love the truck! I have done all oil changes and maintenance at their shop Ellington auto. The shop is extremely clean with a nice waiting room and Rick is always friendly and helpful. Being a skeptic on dealing with used car dealers, I was very careful and slightly hesitant on dealing with Vernon Auto Sales. After a short visit I knew these guys were the real deal. I spent allot of time chatting with Al and Jason an soon realized that these guys were very honest and looking to make a nice clean deal. I test drove the truck without issue and returned and finished negotiating the transaction. After all was said and done, I was completely satisfied with my deal and would recommend this dealership to any potential buyers. I trust their judgment and recommendations on their vehicle line up and would definitely buy another car or truck without any hesitation. A great place to do business.

So far this has been the worst car of my life. the car started jerking and vibrating from the first week only. Check engine light would come back and forth. As it was covered under warranty for only ONE month and not 6 months (as advertised on website), I went to the mechanic and he did some wiring work which seemed funny to me because it made no difference. I guess he erased the check engine code for a while. But again after two weeks, the check engine light came up. The mechanic told me that it was TRP sensor and he said he changed it. But now the condition of the car is worst, it vibrates, shakes and jerks a lot while driving and to our misfortune, the warranty period is also over. Basically we just wasted money for this piece of crap and mechanic is also not cooperative. I would thank the owner for his service because he got us a good insurance coverage but overall I am never going to buy any car from this place again. Never!

Great service, easy process!
After a storm totaled my car I thought I would have for another ten years, I was not overly excited to shop for a replacement. After stopping by five other dealers (one tried to sell me a vehicle $7K over KBB and when I called his bluff he offered it to me for the fair price!), I met Jason. He was great! No pressure at all, the prices were fair, well posted. After the test drive he pulled the carfax for me and the deal was done. Nice guy, fair price, great car. I'm one happy Subaru Outback owner!

I have never purchased a used car and have been hesitant to do so. Due to my. husbands urging we stopped at Vernon auto. we met Jason. Jason let us roam around the lot, look in the cars with absolutely no pressure. Car purchase.
I contacted Jason several times he has not contacted me back to fix my car.the bushing are worn out from time I brought my car it's pulling to the left. Jason said when u come for a oil change we will fix it. That can't wait that long before the wheel fall off and have bigger problems.I took my car to marselli's precision auto were my boyfriend been going for 10 years for safety inspection. Marselli's check my car from top to bottom and found that my car was pulling to the left and said the bushing was worn out.First day I got my car it had to be towed back to there shop cause the car leak oil all over my drive way.my landlord was not happy. So Jason I trusted your word and has been fixed yet and you said to me we like to make our costumes happy. So u could understand why I need my car fixed. I have two small children and want my breaking down with them in my car..Had no problems with owner he was nice in pleasant to me.

2004 GMC Sierra
If you are looking for a car and dont like to be rushed into buying a car or a truck then you need go to Vernon Auto. I purchased a 2004 GMC Sierra and i felt as i known the guys for years . I told them that i wanted to test drive several trucks, and they said of course you need something to compare too.I told them my credit was not so perfect and they replied " you can you take it home Tomorrow ". A good truck and a great price from nice guys
I did not think I would ever say or write kind words about a used car dealership, but my recent experience buying a pickup truck from Jason and Al at Vernon Auto Sales undercut my (and most everyone else’s) negative stereotype of used car lots and salesmen. One thing I liked was the lack of pressure. I visited the lot three times and at no time did Jason or Al say “What can I do to get you to buy this today” or any of the other car guy pressure nonsense. I looked at prices on other local lots and on the Internet for two trucks that they had and that I was considering. I found that Vernon Auto Sales was offering them for less than equivalent vehicles. For the truck I finally bought, their asking price was $3,000 less than the retail ask price listed by Kelly Blue Book and $1,000 less than the average private party ask price. The final price was yet another $400 less. The truck is in immaculate shape, and it included a 30-day warrantee, even though that is not necessary for a 2002 vehicle. They also did all the DMV paperwork in the office, so I could avoid that. Everything was handled efficiently. During the entire process, I kept trying to think of a reason not to buy from a used car lot, theirs or anyone else’s, but in the end I couldn’t. So I bought a good truck and a very good price from a couple of guys that were easy to work with. I recommend that you give them a look.

vernon auto maybe a small dealership but they do big things.jason help me all the way step by step to get me into my nissan titan.he explained the truck to me over the phone and told me everything that was done to and about the truck body,interior,motor,....and that there's no worries that im going to love the truck.he kept his word and went above and beyond to get me a loan,he did more for me than these other big dealership that lied to me and gave me the run around and failed to get me a loan..when i went to pick up my truck it was just the way he told me.. if i ever needed to buy another car or truck i will be going back to vernon auto and seeing jason 100%thank you jason

In referance to my last review, it came down to lack of communication on all parties. Al was in contact with us at once and all problems have been fixed to everyone's satifaction. It's really nice to see a used car saleman out there that really cares about his customers and their cars. He wants to see them happy. I will send anyone to Al because of his honesty and how he takes care of his customers.

The suv Al sold us is a junk and he lies about vehicles. He promises a second key it"s been six months nothing. A six month old car for us and we got seat belt that don't work, a ac that is broke,a broken door lock and he doesn't want to hear about it. Fools that we are this is are third car from him the first is good after own it for 5 yaers we us put money in it. The second was a peice of junk we thought ok thing happen it's a used car. So we brought it back and got the honda. bad for us. Now i wouldn't tell anyone to go to him.

We purchased a Ford Escape for my sons first car. The help and service Jason and Al gave us was the best that any one could ask for. No pressure and very helpful. It was a one stop shop. Wish I had found them when I was looking for my car. A+++++ dealership and people. Happy to have found them.

I've purchased Hyundai Azera from these guys....I have never seen so much helping and honest auto dealers like they are....They just dont want to sell you the car but want to help you also to get a car which you should buy..... We Loved the entire experience!
My Wife and I recently purchased a used 2004 Honda Accord from Jason. When we got there, we immediately knew which car we wanted. The price was so fair, that it was a wonder that it was there for us to purchase. The whole experience was very easy. He explained everything to us, price, taxes, fees, etc., and showed a mock up process to let us see every single charge that applied to us. We took the car to a mechanic, who said that if our car was an indicator of the quality of Vernon Auto Sale's cars, that he would be interested in going to see a truck that he had been eyeing there. They are very helpful, and believe it or not, Honest. They pride themselves on quality vehicles, and word-of-mouth business. We did have an electrical issue that we found during the test drive. They made sure it was repaired before we took possession of the vehicle. Also, the warranty that comes with their cars goes above and beyond what one would expect of a used car dealership. We surely will tell anyone who is in the market for a car, that they are the ones to see first.

I am the 3rd person in my family to purchase a vehicle from Vernon Auto... and am more then pleased and satisfied with both the service I had with the financing process and my car! Jason worked with me and called several different creditors to get me the best deal and rates and Al gave me a great deal on my trade in for my old vehicle. If you are looking for a new car, I highly recommend coming here! I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of my experience here from first taking a step onto the lot to driving out with my newly purchased vehicle shortly after. Customer service was immaculate, the gentlemen were extraordinarily nice and helpful, and at no point did I feel pressured. Very happy I highly recomend Vernon auto sales went on & beyond.
Stopped quickly Friday morning to pick up there business card, stopped bye on Saturday to take a look of what they had. I wasn't expecting to get approved but Jason took all my info & promise me he will get me approved. Best customer service
Most used car lots only want to make a deal and send you on your way. Vernon Autos and esp. Al continue with great customer service post sale which includes follows on the car and a heads up on when to perform maintenance. The viewing and sale process was relaxed and you don't feel pressured at any point. This place is highly recommended, as I recently recommended someone and they too bought a car and was singing the praise of how relaxed the process was.

Hello, I bought a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado from Vernon Autos. They accomodated every request I had, and fixed and expedited the minor issues with the vehicle. They brought my truck through emissions before I picked it up which was very convenient, one less thing to worry about. The registration process was the quickest I've ever seen. They were able to register and transfer my plates from right inside the office. The day I went and picked it up I noticed they had washed the truck and had it ready for me outside the office. I was in and out and on my way in 15 minutes. I reccommend this dealer to anyone thinking about buying a used car.

Enjoyable Experience
I just bought my 2007 Toyota Camry SE, and I had an excellent experience while dealing with everyone at the dealership. They were very honest and great at explaining everything to me. They were helpful and I would recommend them to anyone. I've only had my car for a week now, but its a great car and I'm extremely happy

After working as an Auto Technician for 20+ years I have to say, I've been around the block. I've been looking on and off for a few weeks now to find the truck best suited for my wife and my life styles. It's taken awhile because I'm very picky and "NO NAMES" but, a few dealers in my area use the internet to make cars look perfect. I found Vernon Autos accidently, what a GREAT accident. I pulled onto the lot and saw the truck I seen online, first thought, NO WAY is that the truck. After meeting probably the two nicest gentleman Jason and Al, I happily found IT IS the truck! I took it for a ride and fell in love. What a nice truck, and it's 11 years old! The truck drove as nice as it looked, I went back and these two took great care of me. I've owned 100+ vehicles now, I've never had a better experience buying a car or truck before and I worked for a dealership for 15 years. You guys are AWESOME, you made it so easy to get a great used truck. My wife and I are grateful for the experience. I would tell the entire world, come see the difference, give Vernon Autos a try. I searched the make and model I wanted online. I had seen five cars before arriving at Vernon Auto and theirs was the best by far. It was an extreme pleasure to work with Al and Jason. They are down to earth, honest, and don't have the attitudes that you typically find with car salesmen.
